Children's Ministry

We are so excited to welcome your children into our Kids Life ministry! The heartbeat of our kids ministry is found in John 10:10. Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” We want to do everything that we can to promote the flourishing of your children and your family. We don’t want to settle for just okay. We are praying for your family to have life to the full in the love of the Father, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

We recognize that it is a difficult and tricky transition at times for children to leave a kid's ministry and jump into a youth ministry. For this reason, we hope to provide an option for your child that offers the best of both ministries that is specific to where they are in life and development. Club56 will be its own ministry track within the Kid's Life programing that will prepare students to excel in the Ignite Youth Ministry.
Elementary
Our kindergarten through 4th grade students meet at 9:30 am every Sunday morning in the Family Life Center for songs, activities, and a Bible lesson. Check-in opens at 9:15 am.

So many things are different right now, but we want you to know that your children are still valued! As they enter into a new church space (Family Life Center) with new protocols, new clothing accessories, and a few new volunteer faces, it is our hope to cultivate an atmosphere of peace and joy for your kids. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe by maintaining physical distancing and increasing space size.
Preschool
Our preschool children (ages 2-5) meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 am in the Faith Factory area (upstairs in our main building). Your preschool kids will have the opportunity to sing, play, color, and learn each week as they dive into a Bible story at their level. Check-in begins at 9:15 am.
Nursery
The nursery will be open and staffed during the 9:30 am service to care for your children. Check-in begins at 9:15 am. Cleaning and safety procedures are in place to keep your children as safe as possible.
Health and safety protocols
We are implementing several health and safety measures for the protection of your children and our volunteers during this COVID situation.
- All volunteers will be required to wear masks and all children over the age of 2 are highly encouraged to wear one. Many of our activities and other programming pieces are being adapted to promote physical distance between children, while still interacting socially. During these activities, children will be permitted to remove their masks. We realize that children can barely leave their pants on some days, let alone a mask, so we will handle all mask issues with dignity and patience.
- All volunteers and children will have brain scans upon entry into a Kids Life space. Just kidding...we're taking their temperature! But we think it would be more fun to tell the kids we're checking to make sure they brought their brains to church.
- While waiting in line at check-in, families are encouraged to maintain appropriate distance from other families when possible.
- We encourage parents to assist children in washing their hands prior to check-in. We will also incorporate additional times for hand-washing in our programming.
- Each child will have their own box or bag of frequently used supplies (crayons, scissors, glue stick, playdoh, etc.) in an effort to reduce germ-sharing.
- All children's spaces and toys will be sanitized after use.
